This hotel was so beautiful and fun and the views are amazing!! The food was so delicious too!! And the staff was incredible!! Tess was so kind and welcoming!! I would like to say Jared went over snd above for me!! I couldn’t remember a name of a store across the street after we stayed at the hotel so I called the hotel to ask them if they knew what it was and Jared offered to run across the street and find out the name for me. It was so thoughtful. I was really blown away by all of his kindness!! Thank you for a wonderful experience Ship and Shore!!
If feeling like you’re living back in the 60’s and yet having the convenience of current amenities is your thing, this is the place. Clean rooms, views of the pool and river, and a very accommodating crew. They say parking is tight, but the street parking is right in front and worked out great. Being at the pool is a must in the summer. Watching the boats cruise through is relaxing as well. Phil, Sam,Tess, and Maddi to name a few of the people who treated us like we’ve been there before. A nice breakfast is available in their fun little community area that overlooks the river. No elevator to second floor, but it was nice to get your steps in. Saugatuck is very walkable and diverse. It was a dream!
We had a wonderful stay at Ship-N-Shore Hotel with our family. We rented two rooms, and the setup worked very well for us and our kids. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location is hard to beat, close to everything in town and easy to walk around. Our kids especially loved the pool and hot tub, which ended up being one of the highlights of the trip. The staff was also lovely, friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, it was a great family-friendly hotel experience, and we would be happy to stay again.
Come here every year for girls trip. This place is the highlight of the trip hands down. Why? Because I feel like I’m at a summer camp for adults. The people that work there (love the woman who is always cleaning with long hair, super sweet, and OG Josh huuuge shout out, he’s amazing and SO helpful!) as well as all of the guests. Everyone is on the same level- ready to have a good time and boy do they deliver. Especially late night when there’s dozens of people by the fire pits, laughing, having the best time. PSA- if you aren’t planning to go out, do not book a room by the pool. You’ll hear everyone come home. Or bring a noise machine. The pool is 100/10 being on a corner, getting to see the big yachts pull up, martinis at the bar just steps away at The BARge (to then bring over TO the pool), and the people watching from the pool to the park. Pool is always clean too, thank you staff members! Rooms have been upgraded and beds are surprisingly very comfortable. This is the best place to stay and I’d never stay anywhere else!! I look forward to this place every year. Parking may feel like you’re in parking wars, but don’t worry—- you’ll find a spot and there’s parking on side streets just one block over. This place is worth every penny so if you were hesitant, take my word that it’s about to bump your trip up to the next level. I suggested this already, but I’m looking forward to the Ship & Shore branded wine openers and/or beer openers in the merch store next year ;)
